Cherry blossoms pour out a scent that echoes their timeless beauty,
whether attached softly to a branch or floating on the breeze.

Her shadow boxes combine paper pulp images with found natural materials, creating layered dimensional works that invite the viewer to imagine, remember, and connect.

WATER

Five Element Theory asserts that the world changes according to the five agents’ generating or overcoming relationships.
WATER
Water nourishes Wood (flowers, plants, trees) and extinguishes Fire.
Water also rusts Metal and destabilizes Earth.
Water is represented by black, undulating lines, and the direction North.
Water is associated with Winter and a time of retreat, stillness, and coolness.

WOOD

Five Element Theory asserts that the world changes according to the five agents’ generating or overcoming relationships.
WOOD
Wood feeds Fire and depletes Water. Wood roots stabilize Earth. Wood depletes nutrients in Earth and dulls Metal (reverses metal cutting wood).
Wood is represented by green, rectangular shapes, and the direction East. Wood is associated with Spring, a period of growth and expansion which
generates abundant vitality, movement and wind.
